Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has officially confirmed the engagement of his son, Arjun Tendulkar, to Saaniya Chandhok, given the fact that neither family had made an official comment on the same. When asked directly whether his son was engaged, the cricket icon responded, “Yes he did and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.”

The young cricketer, who represents Goa in domestic cricket and has also featured in the IPL, has stayed away from making any personal announcements on his social media. His last Instagram post came on August 9, a Raksha Bandhan message to his sister Sara Tendulkar. News of the engagement had sparked widespread attention online, with fans closely following updates about the Tendulkar family.
